Showcase Sunday

It has been a while since I have written a Showcase Sunday post (linking up with Books, Biscuits and Tea) and although I have gathered a vast collection of new books since then, I obviously could not be bothered to bore you all with them. I will however show you the six books I got this week. I am not counting the Kindle freebies right now because I downloaded SO MANY this week, it is unreal.

First up we have A Commonplace Killing by Sian Busby. I actually picked this up to bring my order over £10 on Amazon (I hate the fact that they have got rid of Super Saver Delivery for items under £10) and I was paying with my Amazon voucher win. The premise looked interesting so thought it would be a nice read.

Next up is of course Crown of Midnight by Sarah J Maas. I read and loved the first book in the series, Throne of Glass so had to pick up the second to see how the story continued. Plus the fact that certain Booktubers keep raving about it meant I couldn't wait any longer.

The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty is another book that has been raved about by everyone and is one that has been on my wishlist for ages now! As I was picking up some other books, I thought it was about time I picked it up to see what all the fuss is about.

It was my birthday on Wednesday and my partner bought this for me as a present from my son: Dan Brown's Inferno. I have books 1-3 in the series and Steve knows how much I love those books - I've read them over and over again. I haven't been able to pick this latest book up due to lack of funds recently so it was a lovely thought.

I was also sent two books to review for Hanging On Every Word and they were Looking for La La and To Catch A Creeper by Ellie Campbell. To Catch A Creeper is out in March and Ellie kindly said me the previous book, Looking for La La so I can truly get immersed in the stories. I can't wait to get to them!

I am planning a couple of Kindle Freebies posts over the next few weeks..is this something you would like to see?

  1. I still haven't read Throne of Glass but everyone seems to love it. And judging from the prequels that I read the whole series is going to be amazing. Enjoy all your new books.

  2. CROWN OF MIDNIGHT <3 Yes! It's so amazing <3 Even more amazing than Throne of Glass (and that was pretty amazing). The Husband's Secret looks really intriguing. I've been seeing it around a lot and I think I might have to get it soon.
    Great haul! Happy reading :D

  5. Looking forward to read what you think of Inferno! I have not read my copy and the numerous comments about it being a letdown kind of influenced me putting it in the backburner. :( But I really liked the other Robert Langdon books so I'm still hopeful. Looking for La La looks interesting as well.

Have a great reading week. Cheers from Manila, Philippines.

  8. I HATE that Amazon has got rid of Super Saver Delivery! It's ridiculous! I use the Book Depository completely now - except for eBook stuff, as I have a Kindle.

I work at a bookshop, and The Husband's Secret seems to be fairly popular, so hopefully you'll enjoy it! Ugh, I still need to read Throne of Glass! Thank you for reminding me! Lol. Great haul, happy reading! :)
